These terms cover Blu, the Discord music bot, and everything it does in Discord ("Blu", "the bot"). Using Blu in a server, or adding it to one, means you accept them.
1. What Blu is
Blu is a music bot that one person (its owner) runs for groups of friends. It works only in servers its owner has turned on. It plays music in voice channels, and, where a server admin turns them on, takes "Hey Blu" voice commands and answers AI chat.
2. No warranty
Blu is provided as it is, free of charge, with no warranty of any kind. It may break, change, lose data or stop at any time, without notice. As far as the law allows, the owner is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using Blu.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Blu to:
- break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or the law;
- play, request or share content you have no right to share;
- harass anyone, including with voice moderation, DMs sent through Blu, or
/say; - overload Blu, get around its limits (cooldowns, rate limits), or try to break into it or the machines it runs on.
4. Servers
The owner may refuse to turn Blu on in a server, turn it off, or remove Blu from any server, at any time and for any reason.
5. Music and other services
Blu finds songs on third-party sites (YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp and others) and plays them from there; it does not host music. Those sites' terms apply to what they provide. AI features use third-party AI services (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Paid tiers
There are none. If paid features ever come, these terms will say how they work before anyone is charged.
7. Your data
The Privacy Policy explains what Blu stores and why. You can get a copy of your data with
/mydata export and delete it with /mydata delete; /privacy sums it up.
8. Changes
The owner may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed; using Blu after a change means you accept the new terms.
